How to apply to Live Off-Campus

International students of Central Conservatory of Music generally ought to live at the International Apartment inside the campus, but for those who have to live outside the campus must apply to the International Student’s Office to go through the off-campus housing procedures.

1.To live in the Chinese citizen’s apartment(house) rented after entering China, please go through the following procedure:

(1)Before entering China, please fill in the “Off-campus Accommodation Application Form for International Students” (App. 3) and send it with an “Informed Consent”(App.4)with parents’ signature or a “Letter of Consent” (App. 5) from the Authorized Unit which dispatches international students as well as the House renting contract to the conservatory to the International Student’s Office by airmail or fax. Then wait for the approval from the International Student’s Office.

(2)After receiving the confirmation from the International Student’s Office and within 24 hours after entering China, please go to apply the “Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors” (yellow page) at a local police station with passport and House renting contract.

(3)Within one week after the new semester starts, please go to the International Student’s Office to take the “Visa and Residence Permit Application Form”, have the physical examination, pay the tuition fee, select the courses, get the One-Card and underwrite the health insurance in your early convenience.

(4)Within 10 days after entering China, please go to the 2nd Floor of the Administration of Exit and Entry of Beijing Public Security Bureau to process residence permit with carrying①Passport②JW201 or JW202 Form ③Physical Examination Record ④Central Conservatory of Music Admission Letter⑤ Visa and Residence Permit Application Form⑥ Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors ⑦Two 2-inch Photos with white background⑧800RMB.

2.To live at the relative’s place, please go through the following procedure:

(1) Before entering China, please fill in “the Off-campus Accommodation Application Form for International Students” (App. 3) and send it with an “Informed Consent”(App.4)with parents’ signature or a “Letter of Consent” (App.5) from the Authorized Unit which dispatches international students to the conservatory; the Relevant information of name, address, valid certificates and relationship with the guarantor (householder); a signed warranty between guarantor and guaranteed person (App. 6) to the International Student’s Office by airmail or fax. Then wait for the approval from the International Student’s Office.

(2) After receiving the confirmation from the International Student’s Office and within 24 hours after entering China, please go to apply the “Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors” (yellow page) at a local police station with passport and the Relevant information of name, address, valid certificates and relationship with the guarantor (householder) as well as a signed warranty between guarantor and guaranteed person (App. 6).

3. To move out of the CCOM International Students Apartment and living off campus, please go through the following procedure:

(1) Fill in “the Off-campus Accommodation Application Form for International Students” (App. 3) and submit it with an “Informed Consent”(App.4)with parents’ signature or a “Letter of Consent”(App. 5) from the Authorized Unit which dispatches international students as well as the House renting contract to the International Student’s Office. Then wait for the approval from the International Student’s Office.

(2) After receiving the confirmation from the International Student’s Office, please go to apply “Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors” (yellow page) at a local police station with passport,the verified “Off-campus Accommodation Application Form for International Students” (App. 3) and House renting contract.

(3)  Go to the International Student’s Office for issuing a Letter of Introduction for Changing the Address on Residence Permit with showing “the Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors ”(yellow page) and return “the Off-campus Accommodation Application Form for International Students” to the office for archive.

(4)  Within 10 days from the day of moving into a new place, please carry the passport, “the Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors” (yellow page) and the Letter of Introduction for Changing the Address on Residence Permit and go to the Department of Entry and Exit of Aliens, Beijing Public Security Bureau before expiration for changing the address on Residence Permit.

4. Students who want to change the address of off-campus apartment must go through the procedures indicated in No.3.
