Announcement about CCOM Admitting the Foreign PhD Candidates in 2018

I. Application
I). Application Conditions
1. With the degree or educationbackground equals the Master’s degree in China.
2. With good moral and health condition that is in line with the provisions of the physical examination standard.
Ⅱ).Application Category: Self-paid full-time postgraduates

IV).Application formalities:
1.Fill in the form《中央音乐学院2018年接受外籍人士报考博士研究生报名信息表》 (see “attachment 1” below) and send it to the following email address: ccomyz@ccom.edu.cn
The deadline is March 29th, 2018.
2. Each applicant should only choose one major (aboutmajor and supervisor information, please refer to“博附件一”), and must submit the following materials tous before April 13th, 2018:
(1) Please go to the International Students Office and fill out the “申请表”（ApplicationForm） first, then go to the Graduate Admissions Office to submit the form“《报道通知》”（Application Notice）issued by the International Students Office (theremust be signature if needed, otherwise deemed as invalid).
(2)Applicants must submit required materials. Please refer to "博附件二" for the information about all the required materials. All the papers, works and other materials must be original, otherwise the examination and admission qualifications will be canceled.
(3) HSK Level 5 Certificate and physical report are needed.
Ⅴ). Examination Fee:
Fee for the Examination: RMB 800 yuan.
All the expenses should be handled by the candidates themselves, and the examination fee will not be refunded once taking application.
Ⅱ. Examination
I). Examination Method
1.The examinations of all majors of Composition Department, Musicology Department and Music Education Department will be divided into first and second round, including the written examination and interview (for examination information, please refer to "博附件二". Foreign applicants don’t need to take foreign language examination).
2. All majors of Conducting Department, Piano Department, Orchestra Instrument Department, Voice and Opera Department, Traditional Chinese Instrument Department and Network Music Performance major will adopt " Application-Assessment" enrollment method (for examination information, please refer to "博附件二").

III. Admission
The Conservatory will choose from a pool of candidates based on their applications as well as their examination performances. Letters of admission will be sent to them in paper in Jun,2018, where they will read about the admission procedures.
IV. Enrollment
New recruits are expected to enroll in Sept,2018(the date will be announced in the letters of admission).Upon arrival, they will receive a health examination conducted by professionals designated by the Conservatory, and those who do not pass will not be enrolled.
The PhD program is full-time and lasts for three years. An international student will need to pay a tuition fee of 48,000 RMB per academic year in full, and this fee needs to be paid in fullat registration.
Apart from this, the student will also need to pay for housing and any other expenses that are not included in the tuition fee. He may consult the International Students’Office about the housing issue（+8610-66413202）.
V. Degree
Those who have got full credits and had their degree works, degree concerts and degree papers passed in accordance with Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Academic Degrees will receive PhD degrees.
