I. Enrollment Quota

II. Application Requirements


Foreign applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate (current graduates may provide a school enrollment certificate) and academic transcripts.


Foreign applicants must hold a Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) certificate of Level 3 or above (with a score not lower than 180 points) (the certificate must be submitted before April 20, 2026).


According to the provisions of the Ministry of Education's letter [2020] No. 12, the following regulations are made for international students applying to enter the undergraduate stage of our school:


Pursuant to Article 5 of the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China, if both parents or one parent is a Chinese citizen and has settled abroad, and the applicant acquired foreign nationality at birth, the applicant does not have Chinese nationality. Since 2021, in addition to meeting other registration qualifications of the school, if they apply to enter the undergraduate stage of our higher education institutions as international students, they should also hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), and have a record of actual residence abroad for more than 2 years within the last 4 years (calculated up to the April 30 of the enrollment year) (residence for more than 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to entry and exit stamps).

Residents from the mainland of the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, after immigrating and obtaining foreign nationality, and then applying to enter the undergraduate stage of our higher education institutions as international students, shall meet the requirements of Item 1.

According to the above requirements, the following supporting documents need to be submitted:


For those who were originally Chinese citizens and later joined a foreign country:

(1) Chinese nationality or household registration cancellation certificate;

(2) Foreign nationality acquisition certificate;

(3) Passport entry and exit records from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2026.

For applicants who acquired foreign nationality at birth abroad, with both parents or one parent being a Chinese citizen:

(1) Birth certificate or household register to prove the kinship;2) Applicant's forei

(gn nationality acquisition certificate at birth;

(3) Parent (Chinese citizen side) permanent residence certificate abroad before the applicant's birth;

(4) Entry and exit records from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2026.


III. Application Methods


All candidates must apply online. Our school does not accept mail or on-site applications.


Method 1: Visit the undergraduate enrollment system of the Central Conservatory of Music at zhaoban.ccom.edu.cn.


Method 2: Visit the official website of the Central Conservatory of Music at www.ccom.edu.cn, and directly enter the "Undergraduate Enrollment System" through the "Enrollment and Employment - Undergraduate Enrollment" column.


IV. Application Time

Application deadline: 12:00 noon on January 17, 2026

Please complete all application procedures within the specified application time. No supplementary applications will be accepted after the deadline.


The time for printing the admission ticket online and the examination arrangement will be notified separately. Please pay attention to the undergraduate enrollment system of our school at zhaoban.ccom.edu.cn.

VI. Important Notes


Candidates must comply with the undergraduate enrollment brochure of our school and all undergraduate entrance examination regulations.


After the application deadline, the examination pieces filled in the system cannot be changed. If the pieces performed by the candidate during the examination do not match the pieces filled in at the time of application, the score of this exam will be below 50 points.


No simultaneous applications are accepted for each enrollment direction of our school.


All materials and fees submitted by candidates will not be refunded. Please keep a copy for yourself. During the examination, candidates must bring the original admission ticket and identity document.


VII. Application Procedures


Those who apply for public-funded study at our school shall submit an application to the relevant department through diplomatic channels in their own country.

International students applying for self-funded study can directly submit an application to the International Student Office of the Central Conservatory of Music. Applicants can first log in to the International Student website of the Central Conservatory of Music to download and fill in the "International Student Admission Application Form", and then send it to the designated email of our school pchunni@ccom.edu.cn by email.

After receiving the information confirmation from our school, the applicant shall hold the following certificates (documents):

(1) Passport or nationality certificate;

(2) Notarized senior secondary school graduation certificate (current graduates may provide a school enrollment certificate) and academic transcripts (photocopies are acceptable);

(3) Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) certificate of Level 3 or above (score not lower than 180 points);

(4) No-criminal-record certificate;

(5) Financial ability certificate;

(6) Health examination certificate (within three months before submitting materials);

(7) Other supporting documents mentioned in "Application Requirements".

(8) Report card of the "Entrance Academic Proficiency Test for Undergraduate International Students in China".

VIII. Entrance Academic Proficiency Test for Undergraduate International Students in China


Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, all foreign applicants applying for undergraduate education at the Central Conservatory of Music must participate in the "Entrance Academic Proficiency Test for Undergraduate International Students in China" (hereinafter referred to as the test) organized by the China Scholarship Council. The test scores will serve as necessary reference materials for admission review, but will not be used as the sole admission standard.


The main application method is online application, and candidates need to complete online registration through the official website of CSCA (www.csca.cn). The platform supports Chinese and English bilingual operations. The compulsory subjects for our school's test are Chinese and mathematics. The test fee for a single subject is 450 RMB, and the test fee for two or more subjects is 700 RMB. Starting from 2026, test services will be provided regularly five times a year, namely in January, March, April, June, and December. Students need to send the test score report to pchunni@ccom.edu.cn before June 30. The specific test time and arrangements will be announced through the official website (www.csca.cn). The test form is mainly online test at home, and offline test sites will be gradually established. The specific test site information is subject to the actual release of the official website (www.csca.cn).


IX. Professional Examination


It will be conducted in a combination of online and offline methods. Among them, the first round of the Vocal Opera Department's preliminary examination will be conducted by submitting videos, and the subsequent rounds of the Vocal Opera Department's examination will be conducted by on-site examination.


All examination directions of the Composition Department, Conducting Department, Musicology Department, Music Education Department, Piano Department, Orchestral Instruments Department, Folk Instruments Department, Violin Making Research Center, and Music Artificial Intelligence and Music Information Technology Department will be conducted by on-site examination.

XIII. Admission


Our school will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of candidates who pass the school examination and admit them on a competitive basis.


XIV. Recheck for New Students


In accordance with the relevant document requirements of the Ministry of Education, after the new students enroll, our school will recheck them. Anyone who does not meet the admission conditions or engages in fraud or favoritism will have their student status canceled immediately upon discovery.


XV. Tuition Standards


According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education, our school implements fee-charging enrollment. Approved by the price department, the current annual tuition standard for international undergraduate students in each major of our school is 38,000 RMB.


Before enrollment, if the tuition standard of our school is adjusted with the approval of the competent authority, the tuition will be collected according to the new standard.


XVI. Accommodation Requirements and Standards


International candidates can apply for accommodation in the International Student Apartment of the Central Conservatory of Music after receiving the admission notice. The accommodation standard of the international student apartment is a double dormitory, with a charge of 60 RMB per person per day.


Before enrollment, if the tuition standard of our school is adjusted with the approval of the competent authority, the tuition will be collected according to the new standard.


XVII. Registration


Public-funded students: Must bring JW201 form, admission notice, health examination certificate, CSC materials, and 6 half-body photos (3.5x4.5cm) to report to the International Student Office (New Student Apartment 1529 Room) and the teaching affairs department on the specified date.

Self-funded students: Must bring the admission notice, health examination certificate, 6 half-body photos (3.5x4.5cm) to report to the International Student Office (New Student Apartment 1529 Room) and the teaching affairs department on the specified date.

All new students must go to the Beijing Municipal Health Inspection and Quarantine Bureau within the specified time after entering the country to handle health certification with their passports, "Foreigners' Physical Examination Record", and blood test reports. Those without a "Foreigners' Physical Examination Record" or with unqualified results will be required to undergo a re-examination. Those who refuse to be examined or are found to have diseases that are not allowed to enter China according to Chinese laws will be ordered to leave the country.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education of China, international students who study in China for more than six months need to purchase group comprehensive insurance in the Chinese mainland.
