Three international students from Central Conservatory of Music received the “Chinese Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship” awarded by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China
Recently, Ministry of Education notified us that CCOM’s three international students,Jovana Bogojevic from Montenegro,Togzhan Togzhan from Kazakhstan, andChung Nayoun from South Korea were awarded“Chinese Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship”for the year of 2017, a great honour for both the students and CCOM.
The“Chinese Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship”is a scholarship program established by the Ministry of Education to enhance the overall level of international students studying in China, by motivating them to work hard and achieve great progress throughout their studies. All students (including self-funded students and scholarship holders) studying their second year of studies or above, at an institution partnered with the Chinese Scholarship Council, were eligible to apply. In 2017, the scholarship was awarded to 185 students throughout China. Nearly 280 colleges and universities partnered with the Chinese Scholarships Council were eligible to recommend qualified students to participate in the above mentioned competition. Even though selection was extremely competitive, our three students Jovana Bogojevic, Togzhan Togzhan and Chung Nayoun were able to stand out and set a good example for all other international students at our university.
We hope that all students can learn from our award-winning Jovana, Togzhan and Chung, cherish their time at the Central Conservatory of Music and continue to make truly great progress in all aspects of their life here.
